Volta Apple Tree – Capodimonte Porcelain Figurine
This piece of Capodimonte porcelain depicts a boy and an apple tree. The boy is dressed with a waistcoat and neckerchief with a flat cap on his head. He is gazing up into the apple tree towards a snail on the branch with what seems like school books at his feet.
Capo di monte is the ultimate collector’s item!
Having originated in 1736 by King Charles III of Naples in the village of Capodimonte, this figurine porcelain is of the finest quality known. The figurines are all handmade and are renowned for both the very fine detail and also the richness of the colours used. The ultra fine porcelain mix has always and will always, remain a secret and the world has seen no quality equal to it. Sadly, many of the sculptors have now passed away, therefore the secrets of production have died away with the old masters. Each and every piece is made slightly differently whether this be an inclination of the head, a glance of the eye or a different shade of muffler, hence each piece is truly an original and an individual work of art!
These pieces are growing in value over time and are truly collector’s items.
