White Rose of York Jewellery – Silver Charm 12mm
This Sterling Silver, White Rose of Yorkshire charm is hand enamelled and is available in a range of sizes. These silver charms are of a stunning design and have been beautifully made by experts with hand enamelling detail and can be worn either as a charm for bracelet or alternatively, hung on a chain as a silver charm pendant.
The White Rose’s connection with York and Yorkshire has numerous stories and the actual origin in unknown, however, it is thought that it was first used by the Duke of York in the 14th Century. Later on it was then adopted by the City of York and became apparent in the famous ‘War of the Roses’ between Yorkshire and Lancashire and is still renowned today.
These charms make the perfect token gift ether as a memento of a visit to York or Yorkshire or often proudly worn by someone originating from Yorkshire! Also, often purchased for New Mum’s as a token gift from their Yorkshire baby or ‘Yorkshire white rose’ to wear every day.
